Friends of St. John’s Hospital play an extremely important role in the future of health care at St. John’s Hospital and in our community. These individuals understand St. John’s Hospital makes an important contribution to the quality of life throughout our region. And, like health care institutions everywhere, St. John’s Hospital must look beyond its traditional sources of support and supplement revenue with private contributions in order to maintain the level of medical excellence the people of Central Illinois deserve.

Friends of St. John’s Hospital was established in 1987 to receive funds on behalf of St. John’s Hospital. The funds raised are used to enhance and support the heritage of the healing mission of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. St. John’s is the flagship hospital of Hospital Sisters Health System, a multi-institutional health care system that operates 13 hospitals in 12 communities across Illinois and Wisconsin and an integrated physician network.
